Read the order: no weekly 40, still 12 / 12 consecutive
Fetched official CDLE COMPS Order #40 PDF (adopted 8 Dec 2025, effective 1 Feb 2026), the SOS 7 CCR 1103-1 reprint, and the CDLE Labor Rules hub (all HTTP 200). Rule 2.4.3:
Employees of the ski industry performing duties directly related to ski area operations for downhill skiing or snowboarding, and those employees engaged in providing food and beverage services at on-mountain locations, are exempt from (within Rule 4) the 40-hour overtime requirement but not the requirement of overtime pay for over 12 hours that are consecutive or are within a workday. This partial overtime exemption does not apply to ski area employees performing duties related to lodging.
Rule 4.1.1 still supplies the 12-hour daily and 12-consecutive calculations; Rule 4.1.2 pays the greater; Rule 4.1.5 lets a Rule 5.1 meal drop out of consecutive 12 only when it is a true duty-free meal. This page counts consecutive hours of the work period (first punch → last punch of a continuous stretch, including unpaid lunch sitting inside a stay-punched-in shift). Clocking out for a meal breaks consecutive time. Lodging jobs at a ski area stay on /colorado-overtime/. Rule 5.2 missed-rest 10 minutes is also on that page, not here.
13h day 07:00–20:00 @ $20 → 12 regular ($240) + 1 OT ($30) = $270. Same dollars as general COMPS on a single long day.
Five 10-hour days @ $20 → 50 regular ($1,000). General COMPS: 40 regular + 10 weekly OT ($1,100)
Six 10-hour days @ $20 → 60 regular ($1,200). General COMPS: 40 regular + 20 weekly OT ($1,400)
Overnight 18:00–08:00 @ $20 → 12 regular ($240) + 2 daily OT ($60) = $300
Stay-punched-in 08:00–20:30 lunch 30 @ $20 → 12h worked / 12.5h consecutive → 11.5 regular + 0.5 consecutive OT ($245)
